Servo powered SpringWalkerTM demonstration units will be offered on a custom basis once the technology has been verified. We expect that our prospective customers will primarily be agencies and companies that want to evaluate the new technology. However, if you already have all the toys, this may be your best opportunity to own something really new; the first-ever body amplifier, a machine designed to work in perfect harmony with the human running gait.
What's the catch? These units are designed for demonstration purposes, and are not as civilized as production units will be. The fit is of a one size fits all nature, designed for a medium size adult male. They also have battery power limitations that may make it unwise to hike up a nearby mountain.
However, the rechargable (and swappable) NiCad battery pack is designed for an operating range of a mile or more, and the easy loping gait is out of this world. Some day powered exoskeletons will be commonplace: this may be your chance to own one when they are not.
What's the cost? If you have to ask, . . . . Think of the cost of an upscale import.
